| I was in need of some good reverb. I had just purchased Sonar Home Studio 6 by cakewalk and although I really liked the software the reverb and the rest of the bundled VST effects sounded pretty crappy. I came accross a great bundle from IK multimedia that included thier T-Racks mastering suite along with thier CSR classic studio reverb.
Being an avid home reorder I demoed various companies software and I quickly realized that this inexpensive reverb sounded just as good as software from WAVES and various other studio "standards". Basically it is 4 reverbs Plate, Room, Hall, and Inverse. Each one has it own subtle and not so subtle characteristics. The room is by far my favorite. It gives you that modern reverb where you can barley hear the reverb in the mix but just opens up sound. But if you want some thick wet and nasty reverb, don't worry because Plate and Hall can lay it on strong! For some tripped out stuff the inverse is a ton of fun. This is one of my greatest VST purchases for the price! I highly, highly recommend it. I could go on about the presets ect. but I suggest you demo it from the IK multimedia website and I think you will agree that it is GREAT value. |
